6A protect 2

Step1 Warming up  

1. Enjoy the song  We wish you a merry Christmas

T: What is the song about?

    Ss: It is about Christmas.

    T: Can you tell me something about Christmas?

    Ss: It is on…./ People usually..../....

2. T: What are these?

    Ss: They are red lanterns.

    T: Yes. So what festival is coming ?

    Ss: Chinese New Year is coming.

    T: Do you know something about Chinese New Year?

    Ss: It is in ..../ People usually ..../...

3.T: What are you going to do at Chinese New Year?

   Ss: We are going to ….

   T: You have a lot of plans. I have many plans too.As we know, the most important thing during Chinese New Year is cleaning  the house. Because cleaning the house is one of traditional manners in China. Look! Here's a tip for you. So people in China usually clean the house before Chinese New Year.  I like cleaning my house . So I clean my house every week. Do your family clean the house every week?

   Ss: Yes.

   T: But one person called Pinch doesn't think so. Now, let's listen! (PPT展示图片并播放录音

   T: What do you think of Pinch’s house?

  Ss: It is dirty/ messy/….

4. Discuss

    Is it good to keep all the things in the house?

If you have a lot of things in your house, what are you going to deal with these

Step2 Presentation and Revision  

1. Show the picture

    T: What can we reuse in Pinch’s house?

    Ss: We can reuse ….

2. Show some pictures

    T: We can also reuse some old newspapers to make a paper plane.

        What else can we reuse old newspapers to make?

    Ss: We can reuse some old newspapers to make ….

    T: We can reuse some old clothes to make a toy.

        What else can we reuse old clothes to make?

    Ss: We can reuse some old clothes to make ….

    T: We can reuse a plastic bottle to make a toy.

3. Discuss and say

    Pair work: 生活中的废物利用.
4. Show some plastic bottles

    T: What are these?

    Ss: They are plastic bottles.

    T: Are they dirty? Are they useful? Maybe they are useless. But if we take them into a factory, we can make a bin. We can make a bench. We can make a dress. How amazing! These plastic bottles have passed through an interesting procedure. This procedure, we can call it “Recycle”.

     Teach: recycle 并揭题 Project2 Reuse and Recycle

     Say it together: We can recycle plastic bottles to make a bin/ a bench/ a dress.

5. T: We can recycle plastic bottles to make a bench. Can we reuse plastic bottles?

    Ss: Yes.

   T: Of course, we can.
